I’ve been blocked due to potentially automated or malicious behaviour

If you have been blocked by an automated UBC Cybersecurity system, like a firewall, you may encounter an error with this notice:

In order to troubleshoot, you may try the following:

  • Wait 10 minutes from your first experience with the blockage. If you try to access before 10 minutes expires, the timer will reset
  • Disable all browser extensions/plugins
  • try clearing your browser cache/cookies and trying again.

If the issue persists after the above steps, please submit a support request to help@it.ubc.ca. Make sure to reference the following:

  • UBC Cybersecurity
  • Provide the “ITSA – <#####>” code and/or a screenshot in your support request

The UBC Cybersecurity team will be able to assist and unblock you.
