Uploading Materials To a Learning Event

  1. Sign in to Entrada at https://entrada.med.ubc.ca/
  2. If the document you are wanting to upload is in a PPT or DOCX format, save it as a PDF.
  3. When you login to Entrada, you’ll automatically be on the Dashboard tab of the Entrada home page. To upload materials, navigate to the Learning Events tab. Ensure that your display style is listed as Administrator View
  1. Within this page, you’ll be able to search for learning events by the day, week, month and year. Scroll down and click on the title of the learning event, you’d like to upload materials for. You’ll be redirected to the specific page for editing that learning event.
  1. In the Display Style on the left-hand side of the page, ensure you are in still in Administrator View rather than Learner View. You will not be able to upload materials if you are in the Learner View. Once in Administrator View, click on the Content tab of that page.

  1. Drag and drop files from your folders on your desktop to be uploaded, or you can use the browse button which will open up your file folder.
  1. The following window will pop up. Select the highlighted options, and title as you see fit. You will be given the option of releasing the resources at a certain time – to do this, select the second option as indicated below. The copyright statement will automatically be chosen. Click save to proceed, then close.
  1. Click yes – the resources should only be available for a certain time period. Then select the date & time you’d like your materials to be released.

A time release document will appear to students as below:

  1. Once your file has been uploaded you’ll find it at the bottom of the Content Page under the Event Resources heading (the same page where you started). To make any edits – click directly on the resource title and it will walk you through the steps.
  1. To see how a student would see the resource in a learning event, return to the top of the page and turn Display Style onto Learner View. From there you’ll see the learning materials under Event Resources.

Adding Additional Resources to a Learning Event
