SimIQ Educator Guide

Prior to connecting to the Eduroam wifi network for the first time, you need to do some preparation. The easiest and recommended method is to navigate to this UBC IT page and download the Eduroam Autoconnect Utility.

Eduroam Autoconnect Utility

When you have access to an Eduroam wifi network, you can then run the Autoconnect Utility and it will automatically connect you to the network using only your CWL and associated password.

Eduroam Through Wifi Settings

If you have been setup with Eduroam in the past but do not have access to the Autoconnect Utility, you can try finding Eduroam under your wifi settings and clicking connect. You will need to enter your username in the format of cwl@ubc.ca with your CWL password.

Step 1: Navigate to the SimIQ website.

Step 2: Enter your username and password. Click Login. Click “Forgot Password” to reset if needed.

Step 1: The dashboard displays your activities. Click Refresh if nothing displays.

Please note: Activities will not appear until their scheduled start time.

Step 2: Click on the toggle button and drag items around to rearrange your dashboard.

Step 3: Click the gear icon to add items. Click the X symbol to delete.

Step 4: Drag the bottom right arrow to enlarge or reduce the To-Do List.

Step 5: Click Start to access the Checklist.

Step 6: Click the arrow to maximize your Checklist.

Step 7: A checkmark will complete the circle when you answer a question.

Step 8: Click Finish at the bottom when you complete your Checklist.
