The Direct Observation Dashboard is a specialized tool designed to assist administrators in efficiently managing and reporting on student direct observations. This user guide provides a comprehensive overview of the dashboard’s capabilities and how to best use them.
The DO Dashboard is intended to improve upon the existing Qualtrics report process by providing you with easy access to your data, and complete control over your filters.

How do I filter my data?
The DO Dashboard makes filtering your data easy, providing many of the filtering options you are used to from Qualtrics, while limiting the amount of information you need to sift through.
By default, your report will show all the data you have access to. Use the Filter Options to create a new filter.
- Filter Name – The label for your new filter
- Report Title – The title that will appear at the top of your report
- Sites – A list of the sites you have access to
- Rotations – A list of the rotations you have access to
- Select Specific Students – Select specific students you need in your report. This list depends on the sites you have selected. If you change your site selection, your list will reset!
How do I download my report?
After filtering the report to suit your requirements, you can download it using the Download Report button. A popup window will provide you with a number of different download formats for your report.
Select the option that best suits your requirements. PDF is the most common option, though if you are adding the data to your own spreadsheets, the CSV and/or Excel options will work for you as well.
I can’t access some of my data!

How do I generate reports in Qualtrics?
The launch of the DO Dashboard does not mean your access to Qualtrics is going away. You will continue to be able to generate reports in Qualtrics through the 2024-2025 academic year.
